He wasn't physically ready however and that quickly caught up to him. They ruined him, he's a textbook case of Oiler rushing. There was no need to play him as a teenager.

He was a very good prospect. I recall the TSN guys gushing over him at the World Juniors (after his draft year, coiler property) indicating he would immediately be their best player. Not high praise considering that dumpster fire, but still. I was seriously worried that he would be a player for them, before I came to my senses and realised that the oilers are no good.
