I've started to think of Johnny's speed less and fast or with an explosive first step and more as 2 dimensional. Most guys can move pretty fast forward, a few can move just as fast backwards, seldom can a guy move at full speed side to side. His lateral movement is uncanny and when I find in awe of a move he made it is almost always because he side stepped a guy so fast they didn't even realize what happened.
