I went through an AFI kick a number of years ago, so I crossed off a fair number of well regarded films. Still lots to see though. If I picked the five I would most like to watch that I just haven't gotten to, it would be:
Chinatown, The Maltese Falcon, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Rear Window.
After watching those, I would then go watch the first 8 seasons of The Simpsons and see how many more bits and reference suddenly make a lot more sense to me.
EDIT: The second AFI list turns 8 this summer. If they do an update again in 2017, I wonder what recent movies might make the list, if any?
