Also, the linemates are not "a wash". Ribeiro and Neal both have histories as close to PPG players. I like Hudler but the fact is he is having a career year because he is playing with Johnny, not vice versa.
We'll see what Johnny can bring the rest of the year. It's not just him adjusting; it's the team adjusting too. How many goals has Wideman tapped in just because he drives to the net when he sees Johnny with the puck? Others are starting to catch on and the team is also learning to give him the puck more. I see his pace increasing as the year goes on.
