Bump.

Just got back from Maui. Here is some quick things I found.

- the submarine ride was awesome. My 4 yr old son loved it. It was an hour long and we saw a reef and a artificial reef/shipwreck. He even saw a shark chase a fish. It made his day.

- monkeypod was pretty good, but it was very family friendly. That worked well as it was down the road from the condo.

- Safeway was cheaper than Costco for wine and beer. Plus had better selection. I was surprised but stock up there!

- Whole Foods opened and I really enjoyed shopping there. My friends in Miami always take me there but this was my first shopping for my family trip. Really like the quality of the food, especially the meat.

- Miso Phat in Kahana area is best sushi outside Koiso. For those in that area go try it! The owner is super awesome and a hockey fan. He knew about Johnny Hockey, and even watched him get drafted. Super cool guy.

- Prison Street Pizza in Lahina is best pizza we had there. Get Serpico Special. You can also order just a slice(s) of cheese pizza for the kids.

- Merriman's was just alright. Food was good-ish, but you can tell the view is what makes it special. Go before sunset. We went after and it was pitch black. Nice but not great.

- Lahina Grill is still the best. Had my crusted Opakapaka, which is one of my favourite plates ever. If you want outstanding food go here. kona coffee lamb is my wife's favourite as well.

- aquarium was awesome my son loved it.

- Baby Beach in Lahina is an awesome beach for kids, zero waves. We had a great day there.

- these are the best Chocolate Macadamia nuts period. Get them at Costco. We got hooked years back on them
