The Flames brass hasn't done anything to show they make knee jerk reactions during this rebuild. They are trying to build a team that will compete for multiple championships. If they make the playoffs this year it's not going to harm that.
When Calgary lost all those games it was not a tank. It's ludicrous to suggest it.

They tanked because they were playing terrible hockey for most of a month, it doesn't have to be intentional. And if not for the heroics of a rookie they would still be digging that hole, the rest of the team was still pretty awful. As long as there are so many passengers in the lineup nothing will really change
But unlike years past I actually watched every game of this losing streak, simply to watch the Johnny Hockey show. And I'll probably watch every game next year to see if Bennett can do the same. I love the youth movement on this team and do have some hope for the future because of it, but until management jettisons the dead weight I don't think the playoffs as a realistic goal
