I think its important that parents in this region are educated about the benefits of circumcision in this regard. Fairly impossible to argue with saving 300,000 lives.

On the other hand its a bit like saying don't wear a seatbelt because you have a better chance of surviving a 200km/h crash without one. There are more obvious ways to cut down on AIDS infections. I think in parts of Africa this could be more feasible though.
