As far as Britpop goes I'd say Pulp >>>>> Oasis > Blur. Different Class is a pretty well named album since it really is a different class. As far as metal goes at least we got 1990 and some classic Death albums. Nine Inch Nails were terrific live when I saw them, The Fragile is really overrated but Downward Spiral is great. And I figured I'd throw in Kyuss is awesome again, Kyuss is still better than most of the bands mentioned in this thread.
