Successfully rehabbing his shoulder? He is the highest pick the organization has ever had, and showed why in his brief pre-season stint. If he is healed up and ready to go, and the Flames are out of the race why not give him a game? Give him a taste of real NHL action and a better understanding of what he will have to do to stick next year?
Every time Treliving talks about Sam he glows about his compete and dedication during the rehab. Perhaps that is another reason he deserves a game?
When Backlund came over from Sweden to join the Kelowna Rockets mid season he got a single game with the Flames don't see the harm in giving Bennett 1-2 when he is ready to return to action
