Gaudreau won the opening roster spot prior to the season starting, and then Jooris beat out Setoguchi for his roster spot on the Calgary Flames. Treliving already stated that he will make room for you if you beat a veteran out of his spot.
For Granlund, Ferland and Baertschi, I am not totally convinced that they have beaten a veteran out of their spot.
