Totally disagree about showing improvements each day. As more and more NHL players entered the pre season line ups he looked worse and worse. That's generally accepted. I think you'd be the only one to say he was getting better.

So, just to follow up, I thought he was showing signs of adapting to the fact he had aged and slowed. I felt he compensated in these areas admirably, if not fully effectively. He had work to do to catch or make up for his deficiencies, but I believed it was promising progress.
Respect your assessment, though.
