Unfortunately, contract status comes into play way too often with the Flames and that holds the young guys in the minors and some really crappy veterans employed in the NHL.

Nice rant. Let me know when you figure out how to get rid of all the vets and still make the salary floor.
Until then, suck it up and accept that the vets aren't getting moved simply because some fans want to play with their shiny new toys more.
