I had a friend like this! Total road rage driver, but in the air, cool as a cucumber. In fact, a lot of us didn't like being in the car with him if he was driving and joked about him getting his pilot's license. Of course, the two are different.
Two reasons (at least in his case):
1. There ain't much traffic in the air.
2. Anyone becoming a pilot has a passion about it, whereas driving, is still mostly a chore to most people.
However, I still was one of the only one of his friends (including his brothers for a time!) to get into a plane with him. I thought it was a pretty cool experience. I did yak however! Haha, very windy day, and those two seaters... oh my. At one point we were at full throttle at a 30 degree pitch and we couldn't gain altitude. We eventually had to turn around and come back. We were in the air for about an hour, was supposed to be about a three hour round trip.
