Sony did pull it, though I did hear the thing about the theaters as well. Which makes sense.

However, it is a dangerous precedent to set. The studios should have talked to the government first.

North Korea is denying it and actually making a NEW threat saying that if there isn't a joint investigation with US intelligence services (to clean their good name I imagine) there will be 'grave consequences'. Lol.

But US intelligence did and is still saying it was NK hackers. This as of 4:25 Sat morning. So yeah, the only one suggesting it's a prank (or still suggesting it is) is North Korea.

Yeah, NK doesn't want a war of course, but this IS what they do. They raise a stink whenever and for whatever reason they want. And of course anything against the Great Leader, is going to piss off the family. They have no rooting to the real world anymore, especially after daddy died. I'm sure part of Kim Jun-Un really does believe he's a god walking among mortals.

The whole part of this that makes no sense to me is North Korea has never proven to be a real terrorist threat. They don't export their ideology. You never hear of someone blowing themselves up for the great state of North Korea.

If it was the theater companies that were worried and pulled support, they were dumb to do it. At this point, it's probably a lot of good publicity. I really can't see people staying away because of it and I REALLY can't see any attacks actually happening.
