TekSavvy is currently $40 for "Internet 25", and Shaw is $60 (after the 6 month promo ends), and TekSavvy gives you 300 gigs as opposed to 250. And for $5 more, TekSavvy will give you unlimited usage.
That's before whatever Shaw decides to increase their price to and lower their speed to.
I'm sure that Shaw will do whatever it can to increase wholesale prices as well, but I would expect that an indie ISP will always be cheaper. The real savings however, regardless of my internet provider, would be to ditch cable and phone. But $20/month savings for essentially the same or better internet service is nothing to sneeze at.
