Chicago completed a 2-1-1 week and has some worthy of nominations:
Player: Claude Giroux has started to resemble the All-Star of previous seasons. In four games Grioux compiled 1G+3A=4PTS, was a +1, and peppered goaltenders with 16 shots. He also was excellent in the faceoff circle winning 56.57% (56/99) of his draws. Claude had two take aways and sacrificed the body for a blocked shot. He was named 1st Star X1 for his efforts.
Dman: Kevin Bieksa: Despite not putting up a lot of points in games 50-56, Bieksa gets the nomination for the shut down minutes he provides. Bieksa averaged 25:45 per game, playing against the top lines in the sim. He added 2 assists while maintaining a +1 plus/minus. He also put 7 shots on net while blocking 5 shots on his own. He also put up 6 hits
Unsung: Cory Emmerton (58OV) Emmerton didn't let his role on the 4th line limit him, contributing 3assists in four games. He was also a +2 and put 7 shots on net while also adding one take away.
Goalie: Roberto Luongo got the start in all four games, putting up a respectable 2-1-1 record. More impressively, he had a 2.75GAA and a save percentage of 0.918. In 3 of 4 games, Luongo recorded 30 or more saves including wins against Anaheim and Los Angeles. Big Lu was also named 3rd Star X1.
Poster: MJK - because he needs the cap.
