So going from that Calgary Sun article on May 30th that Banner posted.
The girlfriend applied for and was granted a emergency protection order based on the testimony of Cop Squirrell on March 10th who testified that he
"told police that voices have been telling him to kill his girlfriend."
Pretty good grounds for a protection order one would think and a no brainer to issue one.
But on what grounds would the court not extend the order given that you have an individual telling the cops that he is hearing voices telling him to kill the person seeking the order?
