In talking to some others, I think you guys were right about not getting the paint and rust protection warranties. If I take the time to do all this stuff myself, at least then I'm sure it's being done right. Kind of the same idea with the fog lights. They'd probably ask $300 or more to put them in and I can buy them for $150, maybe less. The wiring is already there so I can install them myself.

One of my biggest concerns was in regards to rust and driving on salty winter roads. But the most simple solution is to take it to the car wash more often and make sure the underneath gets sprayed really good.

Auto tranny because of city driving. Less horse-power because I'm not interested in dying. Those were simple decision.


Oh, and I also wanted to say that if anyone does know a good deal here in town on undercoating or rust protection, I'd love to know of it. It's still something I'd be looking for by the time winter comes.
