It looks like they just acquired former Pittsburgh prospect Ondrej Nemec on defense which pushed Billins out.
Maybe if he is lucky, he can sign on in Switzerland or Germany for the rest of the season.
Even though he is a Flames RFA, could he not sign an AHL with another team?
