I've only seen some highlights but it did look like Manziel's throw was similar to Tebow's lob. They hardly got any zip in them so it the defender was near, it becomes a 50-50 ball between the corner and the WR.
Tebow is 10cm taller than Manziel and Manziel did look small in the hundle.
