I understand this is a highly emotional case, but defence lawyers need to be there for people who are wrongfully accused just as they need to be there for the worst of us. You don't get to have one without the other.
Animal torture/killing is a brutal act and should be punished far worse than it is, but that isn't the fault of this particular lawyer.
