Treble Charger is awful as well. Only achieved a modicum of popularity because of Canadian content rules.

Sum 41 puts on a good show and I've seen Tool a few times, but never A Perfect Circle. I Mother Earth had a couple of good songs. Our Lady Peace was generally pretty bad, but had a few songs that would be fun live.

I saw Smashing Pumpkins at the dome in '95 or '96 during the Zero tour. It was a good enough show as far as Saddledome shows go, which isn't saying a lot. Man I have a hard time enjoying arena shows.
To each his own. Finger Eleven was one of the highlights to the day for me. This was right around Greyest of Blue Skies which was the last album of theirs that I overly enjoyed.

I agree that Treble Charger was getting off the rails at that point, but the years leading up to 2000 they had some good stuff.

My point wasn't necessarily that the bands were all awesome, but rather that that particular grouping of bands had an alarming level of staying power. I doubt we see many bands from this years X-Fest lineup in 2028.

My biggest regret was not fully appreciating or understanding the importance of A Perfect Circle. That's not exactly a band that rolls through town every summer.

I don't actually remember Corgan being a loser at the show. I'm not a big pumpkins fan and it was a very long day, so admittedly I don't even remember the set.
