All the questions about trading Engelland and Smid, and giving the spot to wotherspoon is dangerous IMO. Defenceman needs 200 games in mens league, what if someone in the top-4 gets injured for long period of time, we have been very lucky that it hasnīt happened. Suddenly Wotherspoon is playing top-4 minutes and is getting crushed.
Same goes all the trade stajan talk, Monahan has been excellent in top role. But what if he would have been injured, what do you do? You put Jooris against Getzlaf or Kopitar etc. that would be suicide.
NHL isi not development league, best players play. (Maybe top-3 picks get possibilty to adjust). Stajan is in wrong place he is not fourth line center and that we have too many centers but IMO that problem can be solved in the summer.
