I could definitely see Wotherspoon becoming a very good second pairing defender in the mold of a Dennis Seidenberg for example.
In addition to playing a very safe and reliable defensive game he can provide a strong outlet pass out of the zone and definitely has the skating ability to keep up with the NHL pace.
