I just don't know what to say to this. That part of the public actually has this stand point blows me away. Just from a simply logistical stand point this is almost impossible to do without increasing the police budgets across Canada by double.

I truly believe that the general public doesn't understand the evils that are out and around them ever moment of everyday. To ask officers to go into situations with a taser and a baton to defend themselves or the victims of a immediate violent crime is astounding.
Do yourself a favour contact your local district, and request to go for a ride along at night. Your perspective will change, i promise you.
