I doubt the Hurricanes are at all willing to deal their first rounder anyway, especially in Francis' first year on the job. What sort of a message would that send to the fanbase that they're potentially trading away the right to pick McDavid or Eichel all to get rid of Semin. I think another team (maybe even Washington) would take him if Carolina is willing to eat a hefty portion of Semin's contract. Any discussion of them moving their 2015 first rounder is asinine imo.
