Not sure everyone sees him as a solified 1st pairing d-man. At least not yet.
To me OEL is still a second pairing d-man on a good team right now.
I don't think everyone sees him how you do. There's equally as great a problem with people overrating other teams' pieces as there is with people over valuing our own.
I was brainstorming that those two could be part of the deal, but in thinking further on it, not that they would get it done. But I don't think someone of the significance of a Gaudreau would have to be added. That's ridiculously over valuing what OEL is.
