I think you're misinterpreting me; I like OEL. He's a wicked talent, but he'd cost way too much to acquire. Why pay over the odds for
anyone? This franchise is hardly in a desperate position.
I hope Treliving continues to build through the draft, but when opportunities arise to improve the team I hope he gets maximum value for the pieces he feels he can afford to move. That's the rhetoric he's spouting, and I hope he sticks to it.
Splashing out all your assets to acquire someone like OEL is sort of the opposite of that philosophy. Doesn't need to happen. Nothing against the player at all, despite the fact he's had a rough year.
