What about when the player regresses in each of the next three years? Shouldn't expectations be recalibrated? Every top draft pick starts out with big potential, but the second after they are drafted that potential begins to fade. Potential is only maintained if the player continues to show growth in their game. Or is Robbie Schremp still a stud because of the 2.57 PPG he scored in junior too? What happened in junior was great, but the player needs to show something in the pro ranks to still be considered a top prospect. That isn't happening and a lot of other prospects have passed the kid by.
