Of course its not just Americans that didn't watch AD.
BUT, I think its pretty obvious that Fox wouldn't care how well they do in Canada, as opposed to the US.
Their target audience is going to be the US, so even if it had been greatly successful here, it wouldn't make a difference. It did rely on the response from the average American.
