Burke needs to get over his ridiculously pointless old-man rules, and let players wear whatever they want (as long as its not a retired number of course). As a fan, its getting hard to distinguish players on the ice these days as the numbers are so condensed together. The only ones that are easy to recognize are the kids who haven't be subjected to this silly rule.
What's wrong with having some brand recognition on an individual basis? I know there's some BS reason about "not being above the team" but if being a 50 instead of a 5 is what divides your lockeroom, then your team chemistry is terrible to begin with.
