I'd say he's got a pretty good shot at winning the CC.
Gaudreau visibly struggled in his first five games of this season, going pointless, and frequently looking overwhelmed. But since he returned from his one night in the press box for Flames game #6, he has scored 21 points in 22 games, and has been dominant at many points in the first third of the season. The sample size is large enough to expect that he is already a point/game player. I say this not just because that has been his current rate of production, but because with all the chances that he creates in a game that do not result in goals, his point total seems like it realistically could be a hell of a lot bigger.

If he continues to play at a point/game pace—and I see no reason to expect that he won't through the balance of this season—he will finish with close to 20 goals, and +70 points. And this will be a tremendous accomplishment.
