Im pretty sure anyone who can afford one can buy one just like ANY other house in Calgary...that argument is moot.
So now we are down to "American" city reasoning which is also just ridiculous. Gated houses exist all over Calgary and outlying areas right now...this is no more than an extension of those and putting a bunch of them behind a single gate.
Do you also oppose locked doors at apartment entrances that need a key or a code before entering? If not...what's the difference?
