The first time I watched it I got to about episode 6 before stopping because it felt disjointed and wasn't drawing me in.

Got to the third season before I stopped the first two were such masterpieces luckily it picked up in season five if this show was broadcast around 2009 it would still be continuing and more popular than GOT and Walking Dead.
