I'm not sure why there's so much resentment over Christmas. I know there's stress and the travel, but from all of the hard work you put into it, you're benefiting the people around you. Think of your kids who get to open their presents (which you picked up) on Christmas morning. Think of your parents who no doubt constantly think of their children (you) and what a feeling it must be to see you show up at their door.

All of this only works if your family doesn't generally suck. Actually, my sister and my mom are alright, besides my mom being a bit of a spaz about drinking. It's everyone else that are just awful.
