If Glencross expects to be the highest paid forward on the team, he needs be the highest producer too. At the moment he's 6th on the team in points. He has been put in a prominent role, and has been inconsistent at best.

If his role is changing, that's fine...but that's not the type of guy you give the big money/term too.

The big-picture question though is not about today. It's about next year and the 3-4 years after that. He's 32 in a month. Do you honestly expect him to maintain his production? Or is it more realistic that it starts going down. His goal scoring has already slipped, and I guess now he's had to adjust his game. What's next? And why should we as a team take that risk?
