His job was to manage the team and he failed at that in many aspects (actually most, which is why he was fired and why he's been jobless for a year). Infact, I'd call his tenure more of a circus then anything professional with all the debacles (O'Reilly mishap, Jankowksi outburst, poor FA pursuits, playoff comments, blogger outburst etc).

Sure, some of his picks look great, but aside from Monohan and possibly Gaudreau, all are pretty much unproven. Put the brakes on and let the dust settle from this great start. There are a few of prospects and current Flames that are still a result of B Sutter. Is this the team that B Sutter built as well?
