When the coach, the captain and affiliate teams all work hard, buy into practicing at the pace of games and believe in 5 man defensive/offensive units great things can happen. It's the same message at 3 levels and it's simple to comprehend. People point at shots for shots against as our problem but it's not, we have won games shooting more because we allowed shots from the slot and had defensive breakdowns. We've won games shooting less by forcing shots from the outside.
What will hold the team back from being real contenders is our weakness in the faceoffs.

Face offs have little correlation to winning. They certainly help, but they aren't much of a barrier to success. If we fair poorly, it will have little to do with face offs. My guess would be defensive depth if anything is our Achilles
