Hey,

The DVD-RW on my parent's Dell Inspiron 17R died and I'm looking to find a replacement drive for them. I've already emailed Dell and since the laptop is out of warranty they would charge about $150 which is out of the question.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not looking for anything too expensive but I don't want something that dies in a year or two like the other one. The one they did have is a L-DT-ST DVD+- RW GT50N.
