Odds are determined by bettors....teams that have low odds have lotsa money being placed on them...teams that have high odds means the public doesn't like their chances.
Now....again he was leaving
14 million dollars (thats real money not fantasy stuff) on the table in your scenario and he was to base this decision on what a bunch of honks in Las Vegas who never played the game at the NHL level (or ANY level in many cases) think?
