I'll give Vancouver this--when that riot happened, there were cops in riot gear.
But in the US? Certain events always result in riots--it's a joke when it happens with WVU, because it's every year.
They don't call in the National Guard for it. They don't act as if they're going to war. They deal with the idiots and move on, they aren't firing tear gas and rubber bullets. They have a heightened police force--but even when they know days in advance that a riot is likely--they don't call in the freaking National Guard for it. Hell, when Paterno was fired after all of the disgusting revelations about the Penn State scandal--PSU students rioted.
My point is that white people riot too, but those riots aren't used to say that White People Misbehave.
A few idiots misbehave. Regardless of race. There are always idiots who are going to do this in a mob--and the color of their skin has nothing to do with it.
