Darren Wilson Might Be Ready To Speak On The Mike Brown Shooting
Quote:
But according to CNN’s media reporter Brian Stelter, Wilson has reportedly been active in at least one thing: shopping an exclusive first interview to tell his side of the story. Stelter detailed his scoop about the “off the record” meetings on his show yesterday, which you can watch here.
Stelter lists a who’s-who of prominent TV anchors who have tried to get that interview with Wilson, including CNN’s own Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper and NBC’s Matt Lauer. Anderson for his part claimed on Twitter that he met with Wilson but was not granted the interview:

The Washington Post‘s Erik Wemple had a great post earlier today that detailed what this all means. That off-the-record part is key, though: journalists typically employ the off-the-record courtesy to develop a trust with their subject in order to get him/her to come forward with his/her information. In Wilson’s case, off the record is paramount to getting him to share his side of the story–and, no matter what you believe, Wilson should be allowed to share what happened on the day Brown was shot and killed.

Regardless, whoever gets Wilson to talk will probably have the interview of the year, barring anyone actually convinces Bill Cosby to speak on the alleged rape accusations against him. If that happens, expect Twitter to explode analyzing every uttered syllable, especially with a grand jury decision about whether to indict Wilson for his role expected soon.
