Wolf is a tougher version of Tousignant without the drama. The mixed bag continues on D as well. Each vet is assigned and paired with a young player. Sieloff and Culkin are good but have a long way to go yet. Culkin has not played last few games and luck may have a bit to do with his points. The backend work horses are Yonkman, Cundari, Potter and Wotherspoon. The PK is working great. They have learned to clog up the blue line not allowing entry. The PP is working somewhat, it just is not overly pretty. My only concern, is faceoff wins vs. losses. Wish I had stats. Ortio played well last night, now we need consistency............ Was it my eyes, or was there a Scorch imposter in the stands last night?.
They are playing much the same as the Calgary Flames, hard working all out effort. They are catching other teams of guard with their work ethic. Also, it help that Ortio is rounding into form recently. He was great last game, fully deserving of being the 1st star. If he continues to play like that, there is no reason why he couldn't be the backup next year. He just needs to figure out how to be good off the bat as you can't have a guy playing as bad as he was at the beginning of the season.
