Another thing of note about Gaudreau's shootouts is that the NCAA doesn't use the shootout as a tiebreaker (a couple of Conferences do, but Hockey East isn't one of them), so he doesn't have a lot of previous experience in shootouts (he probably took a few in the USHL, but that was 4 seasons ago).
