Jeez signing power of attorney over to your parents? Is it a common thing for professional athletes to sign power of attorney over in the first place?
I mean to extent I get it, you're a young guy, with a singular focus in your life, so passing off the money management to some one else might be appealing. "Yeah Jack, don't worry about paying rent/bills/car payments or getting groceries. You focus on hockey, we'll take care of the rest."
But to have your parents burn through it all? That's much worse than some guys who blow it all on fancy cars and nights at the club.
