Q usually only plays Kane with Toews when one of them are struggling on O...on the PP...or in 3rd periods when he shortens the bench when trailing.

Recently it has been Kane/Versteeg, and a rotating Center. Last game was the first with Richards, and Richards seemed to click.

The 'Hawks have been pummeling goalies, but, have been inefficient at finishing, averaging 40 plus shots. Defensively, the goaltending has been solid, and most of the goals have come off of terrible zone entry turnovers that lead to odd men rushes against.

Hossa seems cold to outsiders, but, has been generating chances, it is just a matter of time, it is NOT poor play.

Versteeg has been particularly hot lately....Bickell has been cold, and in the doghouse.

Of course, with Q, bottom lines have blurred roles, but, on Cali's lineup, the Line with Bickell has been getting the fewest minutes, and is the de-facto 4th line. Kruger/Smith/Rockford guy has been the line matched against top lines, and must be considered the 3rd line.

Sharp's injury has really impacted the PP...Rozival has been on the Point, and he and Richards have been AWFUL at giving up odd man rushes behind them.

Adam Clendening is probably going to get a debut tonight...so I expect the 3rd D Pairing to be Rozival/Clendining, with Rundblad being the scratch. Q often has shortened the rotation, and had given Trevor van Rimsdyk (now on IR) extra help, by pairing him with one of the top 4 guys on alternate shifts, so Seeing Keith/Clendening or Hjammer/Clendening wouldn't be a surprise.

Two of Caricillo/Morin/Nordstrom will dress, so that line will be Shaw and Bickell with one of those three....probably Carbomb.

Except for last game, Saad had hit a cold streak (as had the whole offense). At even strength Shaw and Bickell have had little impact, and on that line, Morin has played himself into Q's dog house (there have been games where he and Bickell have gotten ZERO 3rd period shifts). Seabrook has had consistency issues in the D zone.

With a Q team, line mixing and shuffling is the norm, and the last few games, even the D-Pairs have been switched out and switched back.

Reports have Crawford getting the start tonight.

Unfortunately, for me, I have to work 1500 to 2300 MST, so, won't be able to join in to the GT with you fine Flames fans, but will check in on the Game Takes, or PGT, after watching the recorded game.

Best of luck to you and your team...
