First, Peter Doshi does not work at John Hopkins University, he is a professor at the University of Maryland. Second, he is an anthropologist. Not a epidemiologist or anything that has to do with medicine. Third, the piece that this 'news article' references is not research - it's an opinion piece.

Doshi has spoken at at least one anti-vaccination conference and is a signed/pledged 'HIV/AIDS denier' and argued that HIV is not a cause of AIDS. (Though he kind of backtracked on that - kind of.)
