Sorry for your loss Resolute. We took on a very sick 17 year old cat a couple of years ago. I thought we would only have him a couple of weeks but he graced us for six months. It was no easier a decision to put him down - he had won me over heart and soul in that short time. Remarkable how these small creatures win our hearts. And we are the better for it. You will miss the most those that you have loved - but the memories are the richest.
