I think you have to move on from Melky. He started hot, but I think durability with him is a big issue, and will only increase. His defence is no longer very good, so how much do you really want to spend on an often injured left fielder? If it wasn't for the turf, I'd suggest making Reyes play left field, and go get a good defensive SS. But the contract and ego will never permit for that to happen.
