And yes they were drafted a year later but since hockey levels use birth years not cut off at Sept. 15th like the NHL draft they are at basically the same age of Poirier and have all played the same amount of years in junior. It seems silly to ignore birth years and use age when Poirier is 20 in two weeks, but I guess people can try to spin it to better fit what they want to believe.

Pouliot is 11 months older then Poirier.
Leipsic is 7 months older then Poirier.
Hudon is 6 months older then Poirier.
